Therapeutic Health & Equipment Specialists, Inc. is a company owned and operated by therapists. We started our business in 1985 to meet the
needs of adults with developmental disabilities in the South Florida area. Visits from other therapists soon generated interest in our equipment and we began distributing to other regions.
Our
equipment is used in group homes, Intermediate Care Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, school systems, developmental training programs and workshops, rehabilitation centers and private homes. It can be
used for positioning for work, leisure, 24 hour positioning, exercise programs for strength training, range of motion, encouraging gross motor development, and health management (such as edema problems, controlling
risk of aspiration, etc.).
As therapists still working actively in the field, we have come to rely upon our equipment to meet the needs of our consumers. The high density foam provides the firm support
needed for more aggressive positioning needs. The durability of the marine quality vinyl and ‘no stitched seams’ has increased the longevity of our products. We have seen some of our products still
in use that were originally manufactured in the 1980’s.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality products at affordable prices. We believe that proper and effective positioning helps prevent
and/or reverse deformities, provides stability, helps internal systems to function properly, promotes functioning for daily routines and reinforces the optimal health and wellness of the
individual.
